Youth Groups: LYHF (Lively Youth Having Fun) - Grades 9-12 Chi-Rho - Grades 6-8 YOYO’s (Young Olivet Youth Organization) - Grades 2-5 Youth Service Project The Chi Rho Youth Group is doing a service project at the Food Bank. We meet at the Food Bank at 6:00 pm and work until 7:30 pm the 4th Wednesday of each month. Youth from all groups and anyone else in the congregation is welcome to join us. We usually finish the evening with dinner together at a local restaurant. If anyone has any questions, they can call me at 446-8611 or Jennifer at 443-2549. Thank so much, Carrie C hildren’s Worshipfor Kindergarten through 3rd Grade Children’s Worship will resume on December 30 with new curriculum (lesson plans, activities, games and music). Children in Kindergarten through the 3rd grade will go to their classroom after the Children’s Sermon. Everyone is encouraged to volunteer to teach this service especially fathers, grandfathers, grandmothers and teens. Teens will be accompanied by an adult assistant. The curriculum is very easy to follow and will be available prior to the assigned teaching date. Hopefully we will have enough volunteers that you will not be asked to teach more than every 6 to 8 weeks. If you are interested or have questions please call Angela Pigg (814-2588) or Vonda Edwards (443-7529). Nursery Notes and News: Attention all parents of nursery age children ( birth - age 5): Please be sure that your child has an up to date ‘child information sheet’ on file listing any known allergies and special needs. These records are kept in the Olivet Nursery handbook located in the nursery room. Please contact Anne Crousore with any questions at adbhortgirl@Yahoo.com or 573-819-9026.Also, please take a moment to thank the ladies of Sitter Solutions who regulary care for our children. They do a wonderful job! **Olivet Nursery is looking for donations. We are specifically in need of a rocking chair, and a new playhouse to use outdoors. LYHF Information The LYHF group will be starting a four session series on "Tactical Team Building". These sessions, taught by Joan Burke, are used to enhance the mental, spiritual and physical aspects of a person as an individual and as a team player. Since the sessions build on each other we are asking LYHF members to make the commitment to be at all four sessions and asking parents to make a commitment to help get the LYFH members to the sessions. If you have any questions please contact Bob Broz or Joan Burke. The LYHF members and several parents are going back to New Orleans for the 2008 Mission Trip. If you have questions about the Mission Trip please contact Nancy Foss. Registration Deadline for 2008 NEOLA Camp Dates is April 15th!
